Hi, I’m Sienna
The small-talk sum is that I am a gal who graduated from UCLA with a BA in Design | Media Arts. (It is here where I learned to use plus signs in place of “and” + explored many mediums with the greatest brevity, which further complicated my ever-fluctuating debate between focusing on experience that is broad and shallow or narrow and deep. And also I learned other very useful design tools.)
Since then I’ve maintained a freelance practice while working with and learning from Craig Fowler at Howler, then designing and directing creatively at LA-based startups BeanGenius and Sortfolio. In March 2019 I began my life in Portland, Oregon and it’s been a lovely time! I feel most excited when articulating a brand or experience through tangible goods, particularly with upcycled materials, and I emphasize thorough and inventive concept development in my work before embarking on execution.
“Seems like a bright kid.”

I enjoy exploring the utility of punctuation, engaging in discourse with strangers, reading books and circling all the words I don’t know then looking them up and writing down the definitions, living out of a backpack, making bite-size Trader Joe’s gluten free pumpkin pancakes with chocolate chips, and running away to San Francisco.
Small pleasures include finely slicing produce, the act of writing, witnessing someone have a moment to themself, watching takeoff out the plane window, intricately folding paper, listening to the crackle of a daffodil bloom, and that particular sound of a tent being zipped.
”I don’t remember if this was from you or a TED Talk because you’re basically a TED Talk. Ooh! This would be a good quote to describe you!”
